The residents of of
Janjaillo, a village in Peru, have very little. There are about 1700
people living in this remote place in the mountains. They have
hardly any contact with the outside world and not many facilities.
Margarita Alania Espinoza, who lives in
Holland, decided to do something for her family's village after her
mother died and was buried in Janjaillo last year. She approached
Moments of Joy and asked for its help in organizing a big Christmas
party for the children of Janjaillo and their parents and
grandparents. A party with nice food and drinks and small presents
for the 200 children in the village. The villagers are very happy
with the idea as the children have never had a party like this, not
even at Christmas. Margarita will leave for Peru shortly to organize
the party.
