It is holiday time! An outing to the swimmingpool with a lunch for the children of orphanage Tulip Garden Home, India

The foundation "Stichting Derde Wereld Hulp" (SDWH) wants to organise a school outing for the 85 children that live in their orphanage. An orphanage for children that were often born with HIV. It would be a trip to the swimmingpool, a lunch, and ofcourse the bus that would bring them to the special location. It would be a nice treat as temperatures can reach 48 degrees in the month of May.
The application for the funds is for 85 children and their caretakers. Two busses will be rented and they will be taken to a location about an hour away from Tulip Garden. There is not only a swimmingpool but also a playground. After they have a spent a wonderful morning they will be treated to a simple lunch and somthing to drink.

SDWH is active for children that live on the streets, often orphans, in India.
For these children SDWH has a number of orphanages in the province of Andhra Pradesh. They house approx. 220 children in total. All these children are provided for (sponsored) by a Dutch sponsor. This means that school, a roof over their head, clothing and food have been taken care of. In this particular orphanage - Tulip Garden - 85 children infected with aids find a home.
The money for this project would be spent on this special outing.

Marlies van Heese has been working for this foundation for 16 years and goes to India at least once a year to work in one of the locations as a volunteer. She sponsors 4 children herself and pays for her own transport and hotel while in India.
As do all the volunteers of this foundation.
