Yearly schoolparties for the schoolchildren of Centro e Encontro, Maputo, Mozambique

Altough the school suffered damages from heavy rainfall and mudslides the school of Centro de Encontro decided to organise their annual schoolparty anyway. 
The organisers - The Rich Life Team - (all children at the school) were asked to organise the party with a smaller budget than usual as some of the money was used to fix the school. The Rich Life Team consists of a DJ and a few people of the dance group. Through their own contacts they came with the solution to organise three small parties in three different locations. The location was offered to them free of charge and the only thing they had to do was to buy their crisps and drinks from the location where the party was being held. 
Cost for the party where now only the DJ installation and a mini-van to transport all the equipment.


Last Saturday the last party was held in the disctrict of Romao, organised by the party committe - The Rich Life team. Two earlier parties where organised in the disctricts of Laulane and Mahotas. 
Every party was attende by approx. 150 people. They where people from the evening school, from the vocational training and volunteers. 
Only the smallest children still have to have their party. This will be held in june in the winter holdiay. A day with games and fun will be organised for them.
All the people that attended the party where really happy with the distractions as they live a hard life.
