Reading books for deaf children in Zimbabwe

  • Moments-of-joy op Facebook
KG VI Center in Zimbabwe – the boarding school for handicapped children in Bulawayo, would like to make its own reading books for primary school children, in particular deaf children.

This would involve:
Researching the right words to teach at each grade level
Taking photos or making sketches as with the deaf students in particular visual is very important.
Paying the talented school leavers to make sketches or develop the story lines
Printing the little textbooks.

If this project works with the children of KG VI it can offer them to other deaf children in Zimbabwe as at present there is nothing suitable.

Developing suitable reading books for deaf students ($720) – based on $8 per book.
