  • Moments-of-joy op Facebook

John Dube , from Harare, Zimbabwe, worked as a guard for a European family until he contracted lung disease and could no longer work long shifts.

The family then gave him some other small tasks and kept paying his salary until they left the country. He was unable to find another job to support himself and his family and decided to train as a shoemaker. He completed the Leather Work course at the Ntabazinduna Training Center, whereupon he wanted to start his own shoe repair and sandal-making shop. To set up his own business he needed materials for a total of 185 Euro. Moments of Joy paid the requested amount and the small business has been doing well now for half a year.
