School backpacks for students of East Bali Poverty Project.

Already 3 months into the 2015-2016 academic school year and our children do not have school backpacks.bags  We are looking for sponsors to help us pay for 252 backpacks for all the students of 6 schools founded bij thee East Bali Poverty Project (EBPP).

EBPP was founded by David Booth when he decided to settle on Bali. He used his own money to start this foundation and now he is executive director and has a team of 104 local people working on several projects. 

The  project van EBPP for which  Moments of Joy is seeking sponsors is for the children of a remote area in the eastern part of Bali. The schools were founded in 1989 in the area around Desa Ban where the people still lived without water or toilets, had no roads, elecricity, health care or schools.

This year EBPP wanted to give all the students a backpack but they are well into the schoolyear and have yet to find a sponsor. For 252 students they need € 2441 because the backpacks cost around 9-10 euro locally.
