Starting up a football club for underprivileged children attending the school for woodwork and carpentry in the village Alotenago , Guatemala.

The foundation woodwork and carpentry Project Guatemala has given carpentry education for over 10 years to impoverished children in the village Alotenago. There is an established carpentry workshop, funded entirely by grants and donations, where a three-year training program is offered to approximately 60 students. The boys and girls, are given the opportunity through jigsaws, carpentry, painting and drawing to discover their talents and develop their skills so that they will have an opportunity to a better future. They also build up friendships with other students and instructors that will improve their social skills. In this way they develop and grow as people so they ultimately can not only build towards a better future for themselves, but also to help support their families towards a better life.

To further strengthen the bond between group and to give the students an occasional outing we are planning to organize 2 monthly football. Halfway through the month, we play with the morning students and at the end of the month in the afternoon students. We rent than before a football pitch and invite friends of the carpentry project and befriended Guatemalan organizations to play with us. Sometimes we will travel to another village for an away game.
Besides the rental of the pitch, some food and transportation costs if we buy "from" we want to play some soccer outfits. To finance all this, we need € 1,000.00.
