Centro de Encontro is an independent NGO that has organised many activities for street children in Maputo over the past 15 years. The traditional day of festivities for the streetchildren is a great succes each year. A day away from the miserable streetlife with music, dance, sports, games and food. 
In these somber times centro de encontro is trying to be a safe haven for the poorest children of the city of Maputo. 

Centro de Encontro is an independent NGO and has organised many activities for street children in Maputo over the past 15 years. One of the most successful projects is the soccer school “ Leoes de Holanda'  (lions of Holland) . The boysand girls that play for the soccerschool live in a place where they are confronted with violence, drugs and prostitution on a daily base. It is especially for this reason that Centro de Encontro tries very hard to keep this part of the soccer school active. So the kids can - at least for the duration of one soccer game - be away from that violent existence.Every year there the school needs to invest for new supplies for both the boys and the girls teams. 

We just don't have shoes...
the dreamcatchers Kamamamma's are taking care of some 50 young adults who don't have anything to play sports with, something they would love to do. Playing soccer or basketball is something they can only dream of. For € 25 per child we can make this dream come true. For € 1.250 we can buy the necessary sports shoes, balls and provide them with trainers that can help them play their favorite sports.
